The precons from these big yearly releases of 5 decks at once are decently powered for the commander format at large- and as a biodome they have varying strategies, strengths and weaknesses. The commander starter decks arent bad per se, just sit in this awkward area where people are far better off buying the $40 precons from other releases.The existence of expensive products that commander players want to play is hardly a new experience.
