Truthfully, I haven't really made up my mind as to which Marlin Lever Action I will buy. My"want ad" will start next week and perhaps I'll get lucky and can purchase a Rifle from a private party. I suspect that due to the large number of Marlin 336 (.30-.30's) produced, I am more likely to find (hopefully) a nice example/condition Rifle.

My step mom recently gave me this gun, that her father owned. I was under the impression that it was purchased in the 1930's, but now I think I may have misunderstood.
