They have more temporary injuries during the game and the cutscenes are better. It's possible that's what is happening and you're skipping through it. If not, then during certain plays the backups will come in if ... During your weekly training, change the settings to half pads and backups getting majority of the reps. I think it’s a glitch, if not then Madden just has a real shit system. But if your team is too fatigued, your star players like WRs and RB will get subbed out after like 1 play.
