The G3100 and the newer CR1000A both seem to have numerous issues in some situations. Several have gone back to their old G1100s after trying one of the newer ones. If your old G1100 works without any issues, go with it. You can try the CR1000A and see if you like it better. If so, great! If not, stick with the G1100.
