And probably most importantly, when you are building the body, are you applying presets to both the minimum and maximum body proportions selectors. If you are building a body for 100 weight it will only appear at that selection or visa versa. If you build both it will approximate morph between the two as you move the weight slider around.

Try Slider->Conform all. Even after batch build in bodyslide the outfit file will still use the old body. That's because the body reference doesn't change, just the output for use in game. To get your body in outfit studio you need to change the reference. The best tutorial I've found is on Lover's Lab.
