Apparently, one motor shuts the door and another separate mechanism sort of grabs it and latches it. Mine did the same thing. Honda IMMEDIATELY ordered the dealer to replace the whole passenger sliding door latch assembly. Honda FEDEX'd the new part and it was a done deal within 30 hours.
