May 25, 2011 · 2 Headlights Turn Off While Driving problem of the 2007 Hyundai Elantra. Failure Date: 05/25/2011. We have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra that is continuously burning up headlight bulbs. There are numerous complaints in regards to this, but Hyundai has yet to recall any vehicles. My husband is replacing at least 1 bulb month.

On a 2012 I highly doubt this is the case. The other reason is a leak in the system, also unlikely on a newer car but not impossible.
