After getting the Jeep home, I check the codes and read the following: P0700- Generic trans code. P1775-Solenoid switch valve. P0846- 2/4 pressure. After work I replaced the sensor. 15 km down the highway the CEL & traction control lights came on and the identical serious of events from June 8th repeated. I drove the Jeep home, once home I read on this forum that some members had to disconnect the battery overnight to “reset” the CPU to get rid of the CEL code from returning.On a ZJ, three starts of the Jeep will take it out of limp mode. I get a transmission code when I get lots of water spashed up under the rig. Many times, it will go into limp mode. Once it dries off, I can clear the code, and it will not return. I have done this numerous times over many years, and nothing has died. BTW, if you want to know about "limp mode" for these trannies, it's a mechanically controlled shift, with your only options being 2nd and 3rd gears by moving the steering column between "1"/"2" and "D" respectively. You no longer have access to 1st or 4th gears.
