Member. Nov 29, 2019. #1. A year ago I posted that my 4020 Propane tractor would not start in cold weather. It did it again in yesterdays snow storm. Turns over buy no fire. I checked the needle valve in the carb as it was a problem last year. Nope, still nice and clean. I run a 64 4020 gas, first year for 4020 so your late 4010 would be a 63. The aluminum carb was a real bad deal, the big iron carb with vacuum accelerator pump was not much better. The negative should go to the wire that is connected to ignition switch. Then the other wire is from the sending unit.
