Yes, make sure the brake cylinder resevoir is full of fluid. Slowly, using the lever pump the master cylinder using the brake lever and if the system is tight (no air leaks) you will feel resistance. Do this until it won't resist anymore and HOLD it and crack the bleeder valve.

What you are experiencing is a misalignment of a gear and a collar. The gear and collar have "dogs" on them that stick out off of the sides of both the gears and collar.I changed the fuel filter on my 99 mule 2510 - it ran great and then would not idle. changed the fuel filter, filed the points on the fuel pump, changed the spark plugs, new air cleaner, adjusted the valve clearance, took the carb apart and cleaned it out and blew out the fuel line.
