I ran the 1310 lost sector about 16 times and not one exotic drop. Does it depend on how many deaths you have? Because I had one death most of the time. Par time was about 6 minutes average too. Also, I ran the 1310 night fall more than 20 times. I didn't get the plug-1 ONCE.Legends will be easier, Masters have a better "chance" at a drop. You have to weigh time vs reward. If it takes 2-3 times longer to run a Master over a Legend and or you have a higher chance of failure, just run the Legend. They are pretty low drop rates. You've got to grind em out hard, if you can find one you can do in like 3-5 min to be worth it… my problem is with how many I've gotten, there's just one single exotic that simply won't drop. Meanwhile I've gotten like 10-20 of every other titan chest exotic.It's around a 1/3 chance given that you kill every champion in order to get platinum rewards.
