A few days prior to my missed period I had positives on the strips and a digital but then a couple days later the digital was negative but still positive on the strips. That was a Saturday and the day my period was due. By Tuesday evening I started cramping and my period started so it’s considered a chemical pregnancy.

Blue dye tests tend to have more of a visible dent in the strip, which can be mistaken for a faint positive as it starts to dry. I've personally also had blue dye tests just do totally weird things. That isn't to say pink dye tests are never bad or invalid, simply that they were always my preference.
