The engine turns over, but the engine wouldn't fire. When I released the key, the engine kept turning over. Had to turn the key to off to get the starter to stop.

I have a 1995 f-150 4.9 I6 and 5 speed manual long bed reg cab truck. Starts up just fine, runs fine and then after a while if you stalled it or didn't start it completely, it would turn over forever but never start. When the truck finally cooled down it would start again.
2001 F150 4.6 will not turn over or start. I own a 2001 4x4 f150 4.6l. The truck has always started no indication of any problem. Started truck ran to back of building, shut off truck, unloaded bed (5 minutes) jumped in and now it does not start.
