Because the sun is shining in. I have the 8 battery electric a/c in the sleeper and I can close the sleeper curtains and run the electric a/c and it will keep sleeper cool. If not the engine will start then and run the truck a/c. My only suggestion would be turn the temperature down even more in sleeper and that should make the engine start more.
