Should probably have a farm set up by the time you ran out of food in Rosewood. Given that everyone that lived in those apartment were undoubtedly active ... It was probably over population capacity when the infection tore through it. March Ridge is a densely planned new community. There is little in the way of urban sprawl like Muldraugh for example. Second, the town is mostly gated off so they cannot easily migrate out of the area.
