Flax takes alot of it to make thread but the seed sells pretty decent i plant 50 plots of flax then in summer plant 50 plots of cabbage. at start 18-20 plot farm works well untill you are established.

The Farm Shed was added with this update, yes. The barn still exists, but to make a lot of things easier, farmers (the NPCs that work on the fields and orchards) now work in the Farm Shed. The Barn, of course, still exists. Here the barnworkers work.
