One of my player´s is playing a thaumaturge and deciced to lean into a dexterity focused character trained in stealth and thievery, leaning into a bit of a cleptomanic/hoarder idea for the thaumaturge. He´s however chosen to take a -1 in str due to his ratfolk ancestry while also selecting the mirror implement and a finesse weapon dealing d4 ...The class is balanced around 1h weapons. The thaumaturge has been out for some time, and I think the more common combinations of implement that I have seen are: Wand/tome for the "false mage" Mirror/weapon to be an "echo knight" Chalice/talisman as the "discount paladin" (Not counting the third implement since it won't appear until very late in the game) ...

Taking the medic archetype for sure even in the non-free archetype game. Luckily level 2 thaumaturge feats are not too exciting.
