Where you set up the options for the game. Difficulty, harvest rate, etc., there is an option for Tether Distance at the very bottom. You can set it up to 3 on the slider which is about 650 meters. Me and my friend started playing ark survival ascended yesterday but he can't walk farther than like 50m from me without being stopped by an invisible wall.
