My only habitica based custom reward is hatching eggs, it takes about 4 days before I can unlock that. My big custom reward is a day off work. I work from home and on my own schedule so taking a day off is reasonable, but it takes about 3 weeks of dailies and habits to get the one day.

If you only have a few tasks Habitica might be good enough and the rbg part is definitely unique. But proper task managers just work better for actually managing tasks. Now, you have many choices for task ...Which is what the mods ultimately did. I have done volunteer moderation before, both on Reddit and back years ago, on the Gamespot forums back when that was a thing. So I have a pretty good understanding of what it all entails. The ex mods and anyone else who quits Habitica are certainly entitled to do so if they feel let down or disappointed.
