I would like help sizing a structural ridge beam for a 12x16 foot cabin with a vaulted ceiling. Walls are 2x6, rafters are 2x10. The ridge beam will span the 12 foot dimension, resting on multiple built-up studs in the 2x6 inch gable end walls. The actual free span will therefore be about 11 feet. We're in Eugene, Oregon.
