I should have installed new lifters (40,000 miles on bike) just to be sure especially when you get it all apart. I also installed an Energy clutch which much tighter than the stock kit. HDMD88. Expensive and no better than the stock lifters. The stock lifters take about 7 to 10 min to bleed down....the new SE lifters take 30 seconds to bleed down. With the heavier touring models the Woods TW222 is a awesome cam. The TW222 has great low end/mid range torque, this cam turns on early and pulls like a freight train right up to the rev limiter. I used the SE255 and then went with the Woods TW222 and the TW222 beats the SE255 hands down. The SE255 cam falls on it's face around 4200 rpms.
