Escape will have a vibration only when applying power. Vibration gets bad, obviously, at higher speeds. The vibration does not affect the steering wheel or gas pedal. As soon as gas pedal is released, vibration goes away and Escape cruises smoothly. Once it's pressed again, no matter how lightly, vibration resumes.

Thought I should post to help others on this board. I have a 2013 titanium 2.0L ecoboost with 95k miles on it and had the same issue. It used to shudder/vibrate/rattle annoyingly at around 1800-2000 rpm at around 35-40 mph while going up a hill with light accelerator pressure. Seemed like it didn't want to downshift.
