JMHO but I would not lump the adjustable charge bar and the Spindex kit together as "upgrades." The Spindex is designed and produced by Mec. I can't conceive of anyone that had the newer design wishing to go back to the old. .422 is #28 MEC bushing size #28 bushing is supposed to drop 25.5 Blue Dot, 19.1 Unique, or 19.8 Herco. All three of those are few grains high for 20 ga. 7/8 oz but the MEC chart is sometimes a bushing or two low. If any powders do work for 20 ga., 7/8oz with that bar it would need to be a pretty bulky powder.
