Jun 21, 2017 · 2017 R/T clicking noise at start up. He has noticed when he starts it there is a loud tick, click that happens, almost sounds like one of those lighters you would use to light a grile. Noise is more common at cool/cold start. Noise is coming from around the suitcase area of the exhaust. I think it is just a new exhaust noise.
It is located behind the driver's side lower plastic cover that faces the parking brake pedal. If I take the button out and push my finger in the hole it will start and shut off just fine but when I put the button in nothing happens. Inserting the key fob and turning it works fine too.
